Beach WA 1375 occupies the southern shore of Herald Bight. It commences at an easterly point and trends southeast, then east to the western mangrove-lined base of Guichenault Point. The only vehicle access in this area reaches the western side of the beach at an area where the sand flats narrow to 200 m (Fig. 4.314), providing a more suitable area for boat launching, as elsewhere the flats average 1 km in width. Apart from the access track there are no facilities, though camping is permitted. The beach is backed by a series of narrow foredune ridges, which widen in the centre where they are backed by a 1 km long salt lake, and in the east a 200 m wide series of ridges forms the western base of Guichenault Point. The sand flats transform to tidal flats in this corner, with some small mangroves growing along the base of the beach.
Beach Length: 6.2km
General Hazard Rating: 1/10
