The protrusion marks the northwest boundary of Herald Bight. Beach WA 1374 commences on the southern side of the protrusion and continues south-southeast for 3.9 km. The beach is relatively straight and has prograded about 150 m in the centre, while it narrows to either end, and is backed by continuous 20 m high bluffs. The sand flats widen to 1.5 km off the centre of the beach.
