Beach WA 1406 commences on the northern side of the foreland and trends to the northeast for 1.6 km to the next low rock-tied sandy foreland. The beach is backed by a 150 m wide beach ridge plain and a narrow salty back barrier depression. It is fronted by sand and rock flats, with the rock extending up to 3 km offshore
