WA 1386 extends from the creek mouth to the point. It is fronted by 500 m wide sands flats, with scattered mangroves growing along the beach. Sand moving north along the eastern shore of Lharidon Bight has accumulated at Dubaut Point prograding the shoreline up to 1 km out from the backing pindan slopes. In addition sand flats associated with the sand transport moving into the bight extend up to 3 km into the bight to the deeper tidal channels. Beaches WA 1387-1390 extend for 15 km south of the point and are all part of the northerly movement of sand along this shore.
