Beach WA 1383 is located on the southern side of the Monkey Mia foreland and curves to the south for 700 m to a sand foreland that has accumulated from sand moving northward along the next sediment cell. The foreland consists of several vegetated recurved spits that have prograded 200 m out from the backing red bluffs, with recurved spits episodically moving slowly round the point and on to Monkey Mia. The beach is backed by a 10 m high foredune, with the Monkey Mia car park backing the northern end of the beach.
