Beach WA 1292 is an isolated beach located at the tip of a 3 km long dune-capped calcarenite peninsula. The 700 m long beach occupies the northern side of the point and faces due north across 1.5 km wide sand flats and up the harbour. It is backed by a series of north-south trailing arms of longwalled parabolics that where initiated in the early-mid Holocene on the Zuytdorp Cliffs 15 km to the south and have blown across the intervening calcarenite plain of the peninsula.
