Beach WA 1256 is located on the eastern side of the loop and commences against the eastern end of the seawall for the salt ponds (Fig. 4.299). The beach is attached to the wall at its western end and faces north. It extends for 400 m curving round a low sandy point along the eastern half and terminating against a 200 m long L-shaped rock jetty and boat ramp. Sand flats narrow to 100 m at the jetty.
