Shelly Beach (NSW 565) continues to the east and is a 150 m long northeast-facing sand beach bordered by rocks and reefs to the west and the rocks of the head to the beach. Waves average 0.5-1 m and maintain a low tide terrace, with small boundary rips, which intensify during higher waves. A car park and picnic area are located behind the beach.
Swimming
These three beaches usually have low waves close to shore, however be very wary of swimming out from the beaches as tidal currents, variable shoals and channels lie off all three.
Surfing
The tidal shoals are highly variable, but on occasions can produce a good left off the shoals in toward the beaches called The Entrance.
Fishing
The South (entrance) Wall is the most popular spot, with quieter conditions off the beaches and north facing rocks. Out on Toragy Point the steeply dipping, jagged rocks offer many deep, if treacherous, gutters.
