Rennies Beach (NSW 474) lies immediately to the south and is a 530 m long southeast-facing beach bordered by rock platforms, which narrow the open beach to 400 m. The rock platforms control the 100 m wide surf zone with two permanent rips usually draining out at either end. It is backed by a narrow low foredune, then 20 m high vegetated bluffs and blufftop houses. The rock platform and a 50 m wide rock gutter separate it from the southern beach (NSW 475) which trends to the southwest for 380 m as a strip of high tide sand that narrows to the south and is fronted by 50 m wide rock flats. Access to the water is only possible in gully at the northern end. Rennie and Racecourse beaches have a car park on the bluffs above the north end with steps down to the beach. A clifftop walk runs along the top of the southern beach to a car park on the bluffs above the southern end.
Beach Length: 0.4km
