Bellambi Beach (NSW 367b) continues south to the creek mouth and point, with a rock pool on the southern rocks (Fig. 4.292). The Bellambi surf club is located behind the creek, and linked to the beach by a walkway. Waves decrease south along the beach, with the rips decreasing and usually a continuous attached bar in the south, except during northeast conditions, which will generate strong rips all the way down the beach.
Swimming
Stay in the two patrolled areas between the flags as rips extend along most of the beach.
Surfing
Woonona and Bellambi are popular summer beaches with the beach breaks providing lefts and rights along the beach.
Fishing
Wide flat rock platforms at either end are readily accessible and popular, with the northern Woonona offering the best gutter. Shifting gutters are best also along the Woonona end on the beach, while Bellambi is best when the creek is flowing.
