Hingston Beach (NT 134) represents a transition from the beaches to the mangroves of Port Darwin. It is 400 m long, faces east and is bordered by the low southern Silversands beach headland. It has a narrow high tide beach fronted by 500 m wide sand flats, and a scattering of mangroves, which increase in density to the south. A solitary house is located toward the rear of the southern end of the beach.
