The first three beaches NT 622, NT 623 and NT 624 lie in three small rocky embayments located immediately south of the point. They are 100 m, 50 m and 100 m long respectively and face northeast across the river mouth. They are each bounded by low rocky points and intertidal rock flats, with a mixture of sand and rock off each beach. Mangroves also fringe the latter two beaches. Most waves break across the rocks and reefs, with only low surging waves at the shore. They are all backed by low wooded slopes.
