Gumugumuk beach (NT 665) is a 150 m long strip of sand located on the mainland 7 km south west of Cape Stewart. It is bordered by mangroves and has formed as a result of the coastal plain protruding slightly to impinge on a deep 500 m wide tidal creek, whose flow keeps the shore clear of mangroves. There is vehicle access to the small beach, which has narrow tidal flats, then the deep tidal channel, and is used as a boat ramp.
