The rocks have formed a sandy foreland, on the south side of which is the curving, 900 m long, east to northeast-facing beach NT 663. This beach faces squarely into the easterly waves and has experienced minor progradation with a few low foredunes behind the beach. Mangrove-covered rock flats border the southern end.
