Beach NT 1398 commences 1.5 km south of the cape in lee of a low rocky point. It initially faces southeast, curving round for 4.4 km to face east against the low southern rocky point. It is fronted by 400 m wide ridged sand flats in the north which narrow to 200 m in the south. It is backed by a narrow casuarina-fringed beach ridge plain, which widens to 500 m in the south. The beach has a moderately steep narrow high tide beach, with the low gradient sand ridges exposed at low tide
