Beach NT 396 lies 500 m to the southeast and marks the beginning of the near continuous series of sand beaches. The beach is 700 m long and faces north. It is backed by a vegetated foredune and fronted by a mixture of sand, rock and coral reef flats, with a low narrow rock reef extending 100 m off the eastern end
