Beach NT 230 is a straight, 900 m long, west-facing low energy beach, backed by a 200 m wide beach ridge plain. Mud flats initially front the beach, then coral reefs extend 1.5 km off the shore. It abuts 15 m high 500 m long bluffs at its northern end, which are initially fronted by mangroves.
