Beach NT 1431 commences on the south side of the 100 m wide creek mouth and is a migratory spit 3.5 km in length. It is backed by one earlier spit, then some stable transgressive dunes that extend up to 2.5 km inland and to the south the beginning of the 2 km wide beach to foredune ridge plain. The southern side of the spit splays to a series of smaller recurved spits at the southern entrance to Kularruty Creek. An arm of the creek parallels the entire back of the beach.
