Beach NT 1425 commences on the south side of the creek. It faces southeast and curves round slightly for 2 km to a 500 m long section of 10 m high bluffs. The beach is fronted initially by the sand flats of the creek mouth, then rock and reefs flats that extend 1-1.5 km offshore. It is backed by a 200-500 m wide barrier consisting of inner older vegetated transgressive dunes and a strip of active dunes behind the beach, with the active dunes reaching 21 m in height. These in turn are backed by the 150 ha salt flat-dominated lagoon that is drained by the small creek. A 4WD vehicle track reaches the bluffs at the southern end of the beach.
