Beach NT 1434 is 1.2 km long, with a 200 m long clump of mangroves separating it from 500 m long beach NT 1435. Both beaches share common ridged sand flats that have up to 14 ridges extending over 500 m off the beaches, with tidal flats continuing out for another 1-2 km. Low mangrove-fringed rock flats border each end, with a 300-500 m wide beach ridge plain backing both beaches, which is in turn backed by a 100 m wide band of 10-15 m high, probably mid-Holocene transgressive dunes. A 4WD track runs to the rear of the dunes.
