Five hundred metres to the south is an open east-facing embayment containing beaches NT 157 and NT 158. These form a northern 1.4 km and southern 1.2 km long beach-spits separated by a small creek. The creek drains a 250 ha largely mangrove-filled lagoon and surrounding salt flats. It has formed a shallow sandy ebb tide delta, which fronts much of beach NT 158.
