Beaches NT 1-3 are a series of three cheniers lying between the mouths of the Keep River and Forsyth Creek. The Turtle Point chenier (NT 3) starts on the eastern side of the 12 km wide Keep River mouth. It faces north and runs east for 5.5 km. It is cut by two small streams and terminates at the mouth of an 800 m wide tidal creek.
