Beach NT 987 lies opposite the northern side of beach NT 986 and consists of a 1 km long beach fronting the wooded coastal plain, with mangrove-fringed spits also trailing for 1 km to the east of the beach. Beach NT 988 is located on the eastern side of a narrow peninsula 1 km to the southwest. The beach is 400 m long, faces southeast with mangroves bordering each end.
