One hundred metres to the south the coast trends more southerly, with 10 ha Miles Island lying 500 m off beach NT 1033. This 700 m long beach faces due east and consists of three continuous crenulate sections each tied to rock reefs. It terminates at the southernmost cuspate foreland.
