The northern side of the Yirrkala headland contains four small protected beaches (NT 1026-1029). Beach NT 1026 is located on the eastern side of the small boundary point. It consists of a 150 m long high tide sand beach, bordered by low rocky points, fronted by 100 m wide rock flats, and backed by a low wooded bluff containing two houses.
