Beach Q 3 is a 4.9 km long northeast-facing beach bordered by Gum Creek to the west and an unnamed 100 m wide creek to the east. The beach is backed by a 2 km wide barrier consisting of inner beach-foredune ridges, and outer active dune transgression, including a number of low coalescing blowouts. Five hundred metre wide ridged sand flats front the beach, widening off the creek mouths.
