At the southern end of the beach the shoreline trends due south as a crenulate 1.2 km long beach (NT 1404) fronted by 300-400 m wide rock and coral flats. It is backed by a 100 m wide series of 3-4 grassy beach ridges. A sandy inflection at the southern end of the beach marks the beginning of 7.2 km long Dharrni beach (NT 1405).
