Beach NT 96 begins in lee of a 500 m long continuation of the scarped bluffs, reserve and beachfront properties, which gives way to a central lower area containing a beachfront car park and eroded and now disused boat ramp. An eroded causeway built along the back of the beach blocks a small wetland that has consequently dried out. The northern side of the beach and wetland is backed by the reserve and several more beachfront properties. The beach consist of a wider high tide sand beach fronted by a 100 m wide low tide bar, with a scattering of rocks and rock flats, as well as some bedrock reefs exposed 500 m off the beach at low tide.
Beach Length: 1.4km
General Hazard Rating: 2/10
