Beach Q 263 is a slightly curving, 1.8 km long, east-facing beach which is backed by low scarped bluffs, then an area of active dune transgression extending up to 400 m inland. It curves round at the southern end in lee of a sand-capped point that extends 300 m to the east (Fig. 6.44). A small upland creek drains out in the southern corner of the beach. It has a few low tide rips along the northern half of the beach, grading into a 100 m wide low tide bar towards the more protected southern end.
