Beach Q 278 occupies the next 800 m long southward-curving indentation. It is bordered by low laterite points to either end, but is otherwise free of rocks, apart from an outcrop on the southern section. It is fronted by a near continuous 50 m wide low tide bar, then seagrass. Several active blowouts and parabolics back the beach, the largest climbing to 68 m.
