Beach Q 44 commences on the northern side of a 3 km stretch of mangroves. It then trends north-northeast for 9.3 km to the 50 m wide mouth of Salt Arm Creek. The straight beach is backed by older south-trending beach ridge spits, with the outer beach-barrier consisting of a 100-500 m wide series of beach ridges splaying to wider ridges and elongate spits to the south. Two fence lines reach either end of the beach and the Inkerman prawn farm is located on the salt flats behind the northern junction to Salt Arm Creek.
Beach Length: 9.3km
