Beach Q 151 is a continuation of the beach in lee of the Skardon River tidal shoals. It curves round to the northeast then east for 4.5 km, terminating at the river mouth (Fig. 6.26). It is backed by a continuation of the outer and inner barrier, and fronted by initially 1 km wide tidal sand shoals, which narrow and give way to the deep tidal channel at the mouth.
