Beach Q 150 commences at the mouth of Namaleta Creek and trends north for 23 km to the beginning of the Skardon River mouth shoals, where it beings to curve northeast toward the river mouth. The beach is backed by a 0.5-2.5 km wide series of up to 20 foredune ridges which terminate at each end in recurved spits at the creek and river mouth. The outer barrier is backed by an interbarrier depression drained by Namaleta Creek to the south and a tributary of the Skardon to the north, with inner Pleistocene ridges backing the northern section of the barrier. There is vehicle access across the barrier to the centre of the beach. The beach is well exposed to gulf waves for most of its length, with a finer sand resulting in a low gradient beach fronted by a low tide bar, usually attached to the beach, but at times cut by rips every 200 m.
Beach Length: 0.023km
