Beach Q 214 is located 1 km southeast of Cape York, essentially at the eastern base of the cape. The cape and 128 m high Mount Bremer back the western side of the beach, with 15 m high Evans Point to the east. The 200 m long beach faces north across 200 m wide sand flats rimmed by deeper reefs, with a low narrow vegetated bedrock spur separating it from Evans Bay beach. Rhyolite boulders litter the base of the beach.
