Beach Q 202 is tied to low rocks in the south, then extends for 2.3 km to the north as a low wooded barrier, backed by a freshwater swamp and then mangroves that flow into Laradeenya Creek, which reaches the shore at the northern end of the beach. Sand flats extend up to 500 m off the beach. There is vehicle access to the southern half of the beach where a number of fishing camps are located.
