Narau Beach (Q 224) lies 500 m to the south and is a well exposed 1.3 km long east-facing beach, which has a 200 m wide intertidal bar, with several small rips commonly forming along the base of the bar. It is backed by densely vegetated transgressive dunes up to a few hundred metres wide, with a small creek running out of the centre of the dunes and across the beach.
