Beach Q 188 commences on the northern side of the low red bedrock headland that forms the northern entrance to Cowal Creek (Fig. 6.31) and trends relatively straight to the northeast for 800 m, all the while fronted by 500 m wide sand and irregular rock flats. There is a rock jetty at the point, backed by a parking area, toilets and picnic area. A road runs along the back of the beach which is also used as a camping area. The Injinoo community is located 500 m in from the southern end of the beach.
