Beach Q 198 at 4 km is the longest beach along this section. It commences in the south tied to the rocks, but then extends to the north as a series of wooded beach-foredune ridges, backed by a 3 km long creek that feeds in the northern 2 km into the mangrove-lined Paterson Creek. The beach is fronted by sand and rock flats in the south, grading to 200 m wide sand flats to the north, with occasional beachrock on the shore. A number of fishing shacks and campsites are spread along the beach.
