Beach Q 197 commences on the northern side of the rocks and continues on to the northeast for another 1.8 km, to a rock-controlled inflection in the shore. Rocks and 200 m wide rock flats dominate much of the beach, with wooded bedrock slopes behind. There is vehicle access to both beaches and a few beachfront houses and camps behind each.
