Beach Q 115 commences at Urquhart Point where it faces into the South Channel, with channel markers located off the beach. It then trends southeast then south into the Embley River mouth. It runs along the truncated end of the ridges, in places exposing beachrock. It is a narrow, very low wave energy, east-facing beach, fronted by tidal flats that widen to 500 m to the south. On its southern side it is bordered by the tidal channel and flats of Leithen Creek.
