Kumrunja Beach (Q 128) lies to the east ands abuts Weipa town centre. It is a very low energy 1 km long northwest-facing high tide beach, fronted by 300 m wide tidal flats that narrow to the east. There is a reserve behind the southern half of the beach, with a small creek crossing at the northern end, then houses and town facilities along the northern half. It terminates at Rocky Point where a boat ramp is located.
