Miranda Bay lies on the southern side of Monkey Point. It is 500 m long and faces south-east, thereby picking up waves that average 1 m. They have built a steep high tide beach, with a continuous bar exposed at low tide. Rips may develop toward the more exposed western end, particularly against the rocks. The beach is surrounded by steep vegetated slopes that rise to 100 m on the western headland. The only access is by boat.
