Waterloo Bay contains four beaches. The northern two are located in the open, south-east facing North Waterloo Bay. The two beaches are separated by a small granite headland at high tide and are joined at low tide. Steep, forested slopes rise to 200 - 300 m behind the beaches. The walking track from Refuge Cove comes out at the eastern end of the east beach and runs along both beaches, before exiting at the southern end of the west beach. The beaches receive waves averaging 0.5 m, which produce a steep, barless east beach; and a steep beach fronted by a continuous bar to the west.
Beach Length: 0.4km
General Hazard Rating: 3/10
