Squeaky Beach is named after the noise the dry sand can make as you walk across it on a hot day. The beach is located in Leonard Bay and is bordered by the large granite headlands of Pillar and Leonard Points. There is sealed access to a car park located 200 m behind the beach and high foredune. Dunes from the beach have been blown over 1 km inland. The beach is 700 m long and faces south-west. It receives waves averaging 1.5 m, which usually produce four rips across the wide shallow bar; two located against the rocks and boulders at each end.
Beach Length: 0.7km
