Beach WA 1665 commences at the Ashburton River mouth and sweeps to the east then northeast for 6 km to Entrance Point, the mouth of a second distributary channel. This is a low long beach that is backed by 200-300 m wide beach ridges in the west, which narrow to a low unvegetated beach to the east. The eastern beach-spit is formed by longshore transport of sand from the river mouth to the east, resulting in a dynamic beach that varies in shape and length.
Beach Length: 6km
