Beach WA 1663 continues to the east of the foreland as a curving 2.6 km long beach to Baresand Point, which marks the mouth of a narrow tidal creek, a distributary of the main Ashburton River channel. The active dunes of its western neighbour narrow to a 50 m wide active foredune, backed by the beach-foredune ridge plain.
