A dynamic, migratory shallow creek mouth marks Entrance Point, with beach WA 1666 extending for 2.6 km to the west then southwest to terminate at sandy Casuarina Point. This is a low, narrow dynamic beach, which continues the longshore transport of sand from the river mouth. The 5 km of beaches either side of Entrance Point are backed by a 2 km wide series of up to 10 discontinuous beach ridges separated by mangrove-filled swales, the entire system representing the northwards and eastward progradation of the eastern deltaic plain. The entire system rejoins the main shoreline at Casuarina Point.
Beach Length: 2.6km
