Beach WA 1662 commences on the northern side of Rocky Point tidal creek and curves slightly to the northeast for 2.7 km to a low sandy foreland. The reflective beach is initially backed by vegetated beach ridges, which destablised to the north resulting in a 600 m wide band of active transverse dunes, which are overriding the outer ridges. Up to 30 ridges of the delta extend for 2 km to the southeast.
