Beach WA 1661 commences at the foreland and curves gently to the northeast for 4 km to Rocky Point, which marks the mouth of a 100 m wide rock-fringed tidal creek. The beach is backed by a 1-2 km wide series of beach-foredune ridges than are being actively transgressed by a dune sheet, which widens to 1 km against the northern creek.
