Beach K 148 is located 2.5 km to the south in lee of 14 m high Cornambie Point. The 800 m long beach faces east and is bordered by a wooded 14 m high sandstone headland to the north with mangroves and then Cornambie Point to the south. The beach is fronted by 800 m wide sand to mud flats. It has a small tidal creek at its northern end which drains a 20 ha area of salt flats.
